Honest Review of AC Markets

Thanks to the power of the Internet, the dynamic world of online forex trading is now available to even small investors. The same information and facility that is available to professionals is now available to you, me and everyone willing to trade currencies for profit. Getting started in forex trading is surprisingly simple. AC Markets is an online trading platform that was established in 2002 and is now one of the top ranking forex brokers.

Also known as ACM Forex, AC markets is more for the serious and experienced trader as the initial deposit is slightly on the higher side. While some of the popular platforms allow traders to open a funded account with as little as $ 100, the minimum initial deposit in the ACM Forex mini account is $ 2,000. In a way this is the right thing to do. Forex is a risky business and ethically should be offered only to those who have undergone training and know the risks as well as how to manage them effectively.

Traders can fund the account and/or withdraw money from it through credit cards, wire transfers and a host of e-money options including PayPal, MoneyBookers etc. The company is based in Geneva, Switzerland and has offices in Zurich and New York. The platform is web-based, which means that no download is required and trades can be executed from mobile devices as well without risk of losing data.

One of the major problems with other platforms is the issue of re-quotes. Many times traders are not sure whether they will get the rate that they see and click on the screen. There is no such problem with AC Markets as it does not believe in re-quotes; whatever rate you click on is the rate at which your order is executed.

However, there is a problem with AC Markets. It has a policy of changing spreads, which means that spreads can be changed without notice in times of volatility when liquidity is low. The changes can be wild at times, which can disrupt your plans and result in an unexpected loss.
